I’ve been getting more into vintage shopping lately. I especially loved the vintage thrift stores I found on my vacation to Portland. I bought two cool 1960’s garments there. First a teal and neon green skirt (see here) and then this top ….
Am I crazy … or is it really cute? Well, sure it’s polyester and hot as heck in the middle of summer, but … there’s something I just love about it!
Maybe the mint green and coral seem on point to me right now.
The vibe is kinda Laurie Petrie meets Mrs. Brady … and totally reminds me of a lady in my neighborhood where I grew up who always smelled like coffee and cigarettes.
Well, whatever the reason, I fell in love with it and brought it home!
To let it shine, I kept my other clothing choices simple … skinny jeans, nude wedges, straw tote, classic sunnies, and a few vintage cuff bracelets.
And geez, if my dogs aren’t photo bombing me, my husband is!
How can a fashionista get anything done around here? Ha!

That top is amazing!! It manages to be very retro, but also modern – you could wear this anywhere and fit right in. Looks fab styled with the black trousers. I adore shopping for vintage, and this just shows that now and again you can pick up something a bit different, that wouldn't normally be on your radar. What a fun way to add to your wardrobe! And yes I have a photobomber that tries to get into my pics in the nude!! I have to very carefully select photos for my blog… P x

I think you made a wonderful find with this vintage top, dearest Dawn!! The colour combination is retro cool…and I love the sixties neckline and sleeves (I've always found this style more flattering than most modern tee shirts!!) I wish we had a vintage shop in our neighbourhood…I'd be a regular visitor for sure!!
