Chucks & Maxis

April 29, 2014
I’ve been on a maxi skirt kick lately!
So why not add some fun kicks to my look?!

Striped skirt, black cami, burgundy cardi…

Carlos Santana handbag.

Converse sneakers, of course!

Next look ….
Same sneakers and bag.

Studio M maxi skirt & Lucky denim jacket.

The graphic tee is a souvenir from the Goodguys car show!

Love the way the classic car image wraps around the side.

What’s your favorite way to style a maxi for a casual look?

Hope everyone is enjoying their springtime!

I love the Chuck's with this. I'm not a sneaker wearer myself, but I love it when they're styled right on others and you definitely styled yours right! The second look is my favorite!

Pretty adorable idea! I've always thought kicks like these go better with feminine pieces, or at least as well as a moto and skinnies. Whole 'nother attitude. Lots of charm, this outfit, and on you … so flattering and youthful (without being jejune, of course … the good kind of youthful.) Excellent.

Every time I see you in your Lucky Brand denim jacket, I realize how much I'm missing one in my own wardrobe!! It's sooo perfect with a maxi, isn't it, Dawn?! If my own "issues' continue, I'm gonna need to come up with some new ways to style a long skirt…thanks for the inspiration, my dear!! XO

What a great look. I have a pair of lavender chucks I want to wear once the weather clears and the maxi skirt/jean jacket combo is a perfect inspiration!

You look so great in your maxi's! I have been afraid of pulling off a maxi skirt – but you have styled them so cute, maybe I'll try 🙂

I love these two outfits! Can't think of any other ways of styling those skirts – cardigans and jean jackets are the perfect toppers. I was thinking of buying new chucks in grey, but I think I just changed my mind; I'm going for that burgundy! Thanks!

I adore these maxi skirts! They are great paired with those sweet pair of Converse. 🙂 A fave way of mine to style maxi dresses as of late is to wear a sweater or top over them–make the maxi dress look like a maxi skirt. 🙂 T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

Love your maxis! So fresh and cute with the sneakers. I really like the striped one. It is so different. I love the color of your shoes with the pattern.
