TKO Jump Rope Review

August 3, 2015
soft grip jump rope

As the years go by and the metabolism slows down,  I’m always looking for creative ways to burn calories, so I was all on board when asked to do a review for the TKO Soft Grip Jump Rope.

Then when I saw that jumping rope burns 170 calories in 15 minutes, I was really intrigued!

Loving the pretty onyx and sapphire color combination too.
TKO made their mark as a boxing equipment company.  Now the brand has expanded to other types of high quality fitness tools.

What do you think is the most popular excuse for not working out? I’m not citing any research here, but I’d bet my Pradas that it’s “not enough time.”  TKO wants to support people in finding quick and effective ways of working out. It’s especially convenient when it’s something as portable as this! You can take your jump rope with you anywhere, so no excuses, right?

I stuck my new TKO Soft Grip Jump Rope into my purse and took it to my friend Lynn’s house.  She sweetly agreed to snap a couple of action shots of me jumping rope.  Gee, even my ponytail is getting a workout.

Jumping rope is fun and great exercise. You can use the jump rope for a variety of things, including high intensity interval training.  We need to change up our workouts to keep our muscles challenged and to keep ourselves from being bored.  A quality jump rope is an easy, versatile, and affordable way to add something new to your fitness repertoire.
You can find the TKO brand at your local Macy’s and/or check out the jump rope here and more of the TKO line here.

All opinions are my own, as always.  Jump rope was gifted to me to review.

Great action shots and it looks like lots of fun! I would be interested to see a clerk's face at a store when I'm rummaging around for my wallet and the skipping rope falls out. I am still a bit in love with the memory of my bright pink rope from when I was a kid.

I like this idea! We have to remain active and the best way to do that is to find activities we love. Everyone likes to jump rope.

Sounds like a great product. I like that they included a recommended exercise for you. Jumping rope always reminds me of being a kid, too. xx

Oh my goodness, I don't think I've touched a skipping rope since I was at school! I wondered how you kept so slim, skipping is such hard work!

I just got this jump rope too! I need to try it out. Jumping rope is definitely good exercise – especially if you don't have a good area to run. I can jump rope right in front of my apartment door!

I went really hard with a jump rope once and my calves cried for days. They also used to supply jump ropes at my former gym. It is a great workout and I think for cardio it kicks an elliptical's butt by a mile.

Hi Dawn-I had a jump rope years ago and it was definitely a great workout. I'm glad you've reminded me. It's especially easy to pop in your bag and take on the road. Love that cute, swinging ponytail! Thanks so much for joining our #stylefocus Lifestyle Linkup! I know that your summer has come to a close, and mine will next week. Thinking of you as you gear up for all those energetic students. Enjoy!

I really love to jump rope, but haven't in ages. Thats pretty awesome that it tells you how many calories you burn while doing it… and, you don't even look tired!

Only 15 minutes? I think I can do that. But not at the office, bc then I'll be all sweaty. Not in the morning, bc I'm not a morning person and not when I get home bc I have too much to do and am already tired….excuses, excuses…..LOL. Thanks so much for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things! 🙂

We do a lot of jump rope at Crossfit and it always gets me tired real quick. We do double under which I am still practicing to master.

Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week. Have a great weekend!
