Cold Cali Mountain Morning

February 11, 2014
It was chilly in the California redwoods this morning …

… so I dressed in layers to keep warm!

I tell you, the quick and sloppy top knot is a life saver on bad hair days!
I made sure I carried a clutch today for the “stylemefeb”challenge on Instagram. I found this studded beauty at Nordstrom Rack.
The “arm party” bracelets are from Just Jewels.
Gap Always Skinny Jeans are in regular rotation.
The “vegan” leather moto jacket with fur collar was from Marshall’s.  Adore my Ralph Lauren sunglasses!
The chunky cozy sweater is from Old Navy and the scarf from New York and Company.

I’m wearing my Franco Sarto boots.  Love this greenish gray color … it seems to go with everything … and matches the moss in our tress!

And here’s our little corner of paradise in the Los Gatos mountains.

Is shopping your cardio? My cardio is carrying school books, groceries, etc. up 54 steps!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I’m really enjoying this new hobby so much and am so thrilled when I get traffic and comments!

In a perfect world, I’d have a photographer to take my pictures,  but as it is, I take all my own photos with my old iPhone 4 and a timer cam.  My only hope is they have an amateurish charm!

Have a fabulous day, my sweet fashionistas!

Dawn Lucy, adorable girl … we get to see plenty of perfect worlds in magazines. Give us real girl pictures and notes. That's why we bother.
(It also keeps our individual games up when we actually see what we put on in photos … instructive!)
Yes, I adore your sunnies, and the boots and jacket say all the right things about your 'tude! You rock.

You're doing all your photos yourself with a timer?! I'm suitably impressed, Dawn…it can't be easy to get the framing and posing just right when you're running back and forth!! Your boots remind me of my Steve Maddens…we obviously BOTH have the same great taste!! 😉

Aww thanks, Monika! Maybe one day I'll invest in a good camera and tripod! My husband leaves for work very early and even on the weekends, he has little patience for playing fashion photographer. Appreciate that man of yours! Oxox

Loving your bit of paradise. You look lovely. Every photo I share of myself ( I don't take many) I use my tripod and timer, giggle. We are two peas in a pod. You are just more stylish than I am.:-) Happy you joined in the fun at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop. Hugs ♥
