Shapeez Review

January 31, 2016

The first time I heard the term “foundations” was when I worked at a lingerie boutique in my late teens and it made me giggle.  But with maturity we all realize the right bras and underwear certainly are the foundation of any great look.

That’s why I’m excited to share with you this review of Shapeez.
I kept my outfit simple and pulled out my clingiest sweaters to put Shapeez to the test!

Shapeez was created by Staci Berner when she was desperately looking for a bra that didn’t solve one fit issue just to cause another one.
Who can relate?

Here I’m modeling the great fitting push up bra called The Demee Short.

Oh okay, that’s not me.

But under this clingy sweater I’m wearing it and loving it!

One major problem Shapeez set out to solve was making back fat invisible under clothing.  Love the smooth line it gives me! I do admit that back fat isn’t really an issue for me though (my fat is all below the waist), but check out the before and after on this happy customer:

The problem Shapeez solved for me is a different one.  I have small shoulders and bra straps are always slipping off them.  If I make the strap shorter, the bra just rides up instead.  Super uncomfortable.  My solution so far is a wardrobe of racerback bras and they do work for me under many garments.  But racerback straps stick close to the neck and if I wear a boat-neck, scoop-neck, or V-neck the strap will show.

Argh! Tacky!

Shapeez solves this issue for me!

See how the backs are constructed?  The straps don’t ride close to the neck, but still totally stay in place!

Here I’m modeling the long line bra called The Demee Long. Along with the great back construction and push up feature, it also has shaping through the waist and tummy area.

Look how it smooths out muffin top!

My one complaint about Shapeez?  I wish they had shaping foundations for my bottom half.  (Are you listening, Staci?)

Everyone has different bra fit issues.  Be sure to check out all their styles for every figure here!

I've always wondered about these. You look amazing. I second the suggestion for shaping foundations for my lower half!! 🙂

I have a similar problem, strings slip off all the time. If I tighten them more they get well, tight. Uncomfortable. Never mind that most bras either fit the ladies nicely, or my circumference, hardly ever both. Lucky that my breasts are small and humble, often I don't wear a bra. The tank top with integrated support/bra look like it would solve two problems in one for me.

Yeah we can totally relate, Chick. I just need a tank too, but then I sure do like to have a bra that gives me a little "oomph" sometimes! 😉

It really is smoothing! What a great post. It really is important to have a great fitting bra to help your clothes and confidence fall into place.

I just bought two bras that were a different style than the ones I had previously bought. It clearly states to order up 1 cup size which I did. The bra cup is too big and wrinkles. When I contacted customer service to return I was told that I had to pay for shipping although clearly following their instructions was the reason for the problem. I loved these bras but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If I ever buy again it will be from Amazon. It clearly is a product that is “not as described” and I would not have had to pay shipping to return. Just a head’s up.

Oh thanks so much for letting me know. This review was written over 3 years ago and things might be different now. I haven’t ordered a Shapeez Bra since then, but I am really liking the Soma bra collection. So sorry that you had a bad experience.
