I love dressing for my mood. Sometimes I’m feeling badass and edgy. Some days I’m feeling girly and sweet. This is my fav new inexpensive sweet summer dress.
Do you dress for your mood?
On this girly day, I went to the little adorable French bakery right down the street. I treated myself to a croissant and some coffee, but you know … photos first! (For local readers: try Flower Flour on Willow Street in San Jose. It’s super cute and yummy.)
This dress is new from Shein (c/o), which can be a bit hit or miss for me, but this dress is absolutely a winner. The fabric is a little stiff, but I actually like it because it gives the dress a crisp look (without having to actually iron). The length is just perfect on me (I’m 5’7″). I’m wearing a size small, so it runs true to size. The dress also comes in navy and white, as well as black and red.
The little straw basket bag (c/o J.Jill) seemed like just the right touch for a sweet summer look. The fun sandals are vintage Prada. Do you ever shop vintage? FYI: The Real Real and Vestiaire Collective are both fab sites for shopping vintage/pre-loved designer items.

Okay Ladies, who’s gearing up for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?! It’s my favorite sale of the year because it’s all new stuff, not just markdowns. It’s the only time you get to buy something for less FIRST! The fun starts this Thursday the 11th for Nordstrom card holders and July 20th for everyone else, and ends for everyone August 5th.

Love the gingham dress. It looks really nice on you. I’m so into gingham this year. Just bought a gingham jacket that I was really excited about, but sadly, the shape of the jacket isn’t working for me so back to the store it will go.
