Denim Midi Skirt

November 15, 2018

I’ve had my eyes open for the perfect denim midi-length skirt for my pear shape. It’s been a hard thing to find!  But I did find this cute vintage denim skirt at the thrift store this summer.  I want more an A-line, but this trumpet is a cute fit too.  Anyway, I think a denim midi skirt is a great addition to your wardrobe right now!

The denim skirt is another reminder of all the fun and inexpensive things you can find at the thrift store, if you have the time and patience to sort through things.  I love to do this in the summer, when this teacher’s schedule is way more relaxed.

With the skirt, I’m wearing a few versatile basics that I love.  This scoop neck black sweater and beige cardigan are old favorites.  I’ve been regularly carrying my English Saddle Madewell Medium Transport Tote and  Backcountry Belt. from Madewell. And these Chai boots are Jambu (use code DAWLUCY18 for 20% off when you shop on Jambu.com).  Super comfortable and classic, you’ll wear these all the time.  Oh, and the glam sunnies  are from Chico’s.

The best part? These photos are taken at Santana Row (local fun outside mall) where I got to spend time with my blogging buddy Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista for a morning of coffee, pastries, shopping, chit chat and photos!

I love that skirt. That is the ideal length for me. I enjoy a good look round the thrift shops as you never know what you are going to come across. I also love the old books and jewellery as well. Loved your photographs!!

One of the reasons I think denim skirts are the best for the season is because you can wear tights with them, and the denim doesn’t stick to them!!

I love a good denim skirt but I haven’t had one in ages. I can’t seem to find one that fits well. This one looks fab on you!

It’s hard for me to get the fit right too. The classic pencil skirt option isn’t very flattering on me. Thanks so much for stopping by, Kellyann!

    Dawn,
I love that tulip shape on you! I, too, have trouble finding one with the right fit, but it’s a different issue–my short legs!! Haha! I’m styling a couple of looks with my knee-length denim skirt and would love to find a midi, too. Keep us posted on your search–and let us know if they have petite, too!
    Have a happy Thanksgiving.
    xx Darlene
