One day these two sweet and beautiful ladies took me out to celebrate my 60th birthday and my retirement from 34 years of teaching and we had such fun girl time!

We meet at a cute coffee place in Morgan Hill (Barrel and Bean, try the Kona cold brew!) and then walked around and ended up having a delicious lunch at Ladera Grill. And yes, we even had a dress code: wide leg jeans and vest tops. Do you ever do that with your girlfriends? We wanted to have some fun with photos and thought we’d coordinate a bit. Ha!
I’m wearing a few of my favorite pieces, mixed in a new way, which is what I’m all about around here. I’m wearing my gray wide leg jeans (true to size), denim vest (size down if between sizes, I exchanged a M for a S), and platform shoes. I’m carrying a straw bag and these pretty gold hoops add some glam to the summer look.
It’s so nice to have close girlfriends to chat with, giggle with, and shop with. And I’m so lucky to have even more birthday celebrations still to come. That will be on the blog eventually, as well as looks from my Pacific Northwest vacation.
