Happy new year, Friends!

2019 Goals

The ending of one year and the beginning of another makes us all a bit introspective.  It’s been so fun to look back over 2018 and feel grateful for all the wonderful memories!

Looking ahead to 2019, my main goal is to enjoy life more! That’s a good one, right?  In 2019, I’m going to take more deep breaths, find joy every day, laugh more … do more of what I love and less of what I don’t.  And I know it’s so cliche, but I’m going to “follow my bliss” whenever possible.

Fashion Should Be Fun in 2019

Part of my bliss is absolutely my style blog, so I know we’re going to have a fun 2019 here at Fashion Should Be Fun!  Right now, I’m already working on a couple of posts that I’m really excited about: a look at all the fun trends for 2019 (including one new trend that you will definitely NEVER see me wear … ha!) … as well as a wardrobe building tutorial post! It’s all in the works and it will be here soon!

Along with those fun posts, February’s New York Fashion Week is just around the corner!  The preliminary schedule is out and I just booked my flight!  Next week I’ll be sending out requests for shows and fingers crossed I’ll be going to some fabulous ones this season!

And of course a big part of the fun of NYFW is dressing for it.  I have an amazing coat in the works … remember I wore a dress by emerging desiger Bianca Zidik for the last NYFW?  Well this time around I reached out to her with an idea and she is in the midst of designing and bringing that idea to life! Stay tuned!

These iPhone snaps are from a fun little day trip to Carmel and Pacific Grove with my husband. It’s been so nice to be in vacation mode together … enjoying little adventures, along with plenty of cozy days at home. It was bright and sunny, but chilly, and this outfit kept me feeling chic and warm.
