Never one to let a trend pass by untried (even if that just means in the dressing room), here’s my salute to the kimono craze!
I’m loving this trend … so boho, so 70’s, so comfy!
Wearing my kimono here with flared Lucky brand jeans, Michael Shannon wedges, basic black Old Navy tank, Carlos Santana handbag, and lots of fun jewelry.
Not sure if I’d really wear a kimono too often, I didn’t want to invest a lot. Got this pretty one on sale at H & M.
The top necklace is a jade dragon that I bought at the street fair in Portland. It was one of those things that I just had to have, but wasn’t sure if I’d really wear it. But I’m absolutely loving it with this kimono! (I have a dragon tattoo to match, but that’s a whole other story!)
The bottom pendant is Lucky Brand. Just adore their vibe!
Hard to take my vogueing too seriously with these two mutts laughing behind my back. “Crazy mommy!”
Nice that the kimono covers the rear end so well! Don’t you hate it when something cuts you off at an unflattering spot?

I’ll be keeping my eyes open for another one … maybe something longer, and more colorful … with fringe!

I haven't tried the kimono trend, but it looks great on you! Your dogs are super cute! My dog also enjoys to "photo bomb" my pictures.
These dogs are such photo bombers! I had them in the house, but hubby let them out and they were having so much fun, how could I put them back in? OXOX

I love them too much! I say that because I have three of these hanging on my bedroom wall and I'm almost finished with one that I made myself from an 80s pattern. It's going to have fringe on the bottom and my own art on the back.

hey, Dawn Lucy glad you got some NYC polish. I am interested in getting more but I have bowl full of polishes I don't wear that much as it is. I couldn't were polish for months during the surgery phases – some reason it bugs the operating room machines or something. But now I am far from surgery now days and its is polish wearing season again. Yay! ♥

I've been on the lookout for a kimono as well, dearest Dawn…and yours is just my style, with the black and white pattern and the flattering length!! (I actually own an authentic, full-length kimono that I got as a gift from my mom-in-law after a visit to Japan; maybe one of these days I'll be brave enough to wear it on the street!!) And a big "yes!" to giving new things – be it fashion trends or exotic foods – a try…how else can you know if you'll like it?! P.S. I wrote about exactly that on my own blog today!! 😀
