Michal Golan Studio in NYC

September 26, 2016

I’ve been a huge fan of Michal Golan jewelry since I first worked with the brand. (See the post about my first collaboration here.) This collaboration was even more special because I got an invitation to the Michal Golan studio in New York City to see where and how the magic happens!

Here is Michal in her studio with her wall of beads!  She surrounds herself with materials and inspiration and often sketches out her ideas.

All the pieces are handmade with love by workers who are like family. dsc_0047

As a matter of fact, my contact at Michal Golan, Ariel, ended up being Michal’s lovely daughter!

They even have the cutest cat running around!  I took so many pictures of it, but it was a crafty little critter and I just got photos of an oh-so-fluffy blur!

I really enjoyed trying on some different pieces, like this cool ice inspired statement necklace. Iceberg Necklace

I wore a few of my fav pieces to the shows at New York Fashion Week, including this Royal Garnet Eye Necklace styled with my Soft Surroundings tunic and long vest.

And doesn’t this Evil Eye Bracelet look amazing stacked with my Jord watch and other fun bracelets?

Check out the website to see all the dreamy things: Michal Golan.

I’ve been back from NYFW for awhile and I’m still “unpacking” photos and stories, dear readers!  I know you understand … teaching 160 teenagers + 5 classes (3 different courses) + a passion for fashion blogging + a trip to NYFW + hey, let’s just throw in a blogger to wordpress conversion too = GIMME COFFEE!  Hopefully you’ll still be interested when I’m reviewing NYFW shows with my Thanksgiving Day turkey plate!  (Hey, they were spring/summer 2017 shows, so we’re still way ahead of the game, right?!)

The stories thus far:

Red Tunic & Long Vest!

Fall Look at NYFW

Leather Pleats and Meeting Denton Taylor!

Project Runway Fan Girl Moments!

Marissa Webb Show & Meeting Brad Goreski!

Fashion Week OOTD – Red Floral Scuba!

My First Show!

Enjoy!

Have a fab start to your new week, Dolls!  As always, thanks for having fashion fun with me!

That made me laugh about reviewing the shows at T-day time—-but your point is right on—it was all about the upcoming season. So maybe you should wait until the weather starts warming up again???
I love supporting the family businesses—what a great post!
