Nap Dresses

March 23, 2023

Hi, Friends. As some of you know, I had an emergency appendectomy last week.  It was a scary experience, but I’ll be fine and this week is all about healing.

I thought about just skipping a blog post, but then I thought why not just go ahead and share what I’m actually wearing this week. I’m living in nap dresses that don’t touch my abdomen.  Hopefully you don’t have any surgeries on the horizon, but there can be lots of reasons why we all might need a tummy-friendly nap dress to wear sometimes.  A lot of people have bloating issues from a variety of causes, like gas, IBS, Crohn’s Disease,  diverticulitis, and so many more. It can be a good comfortable closet staple and I thought I’d share my two favorites.

Yes, this is a repeat photo. I was not up to modeling this week.

I’ve been wearing two dresses over and over.  One is the Mordenmiss Women’s Cotton Linen Dress, an Amazon find that is surprising good quality. I’ve washed it and worn it every other day this week and it still looks great!

Also I’ve been wearing my Loveappella vacation dress around the house with a cozy cardigan.  The empire waistline skims over the tummy area and the soft jersey knit is really comfortable.

And as long as we’re getting personal, these Auden Laser Cut panties are hands down the most comfortable underwear.  They are my favorite always and this week they are ALL I will wear!  Wide-hip/big-butt approved!

Okay, that’s all from me this week, Ladies.  Hope you are having a fun week and maybe even getting a peek of some spring weather!

    Hey Dawn,
I hope you’re feeling better! I love the dresses that you’ve shown and yes it is wonderful because I have IBS etc and so I often look for clothes like that. Thanks for the great tips. Take care my friend.❤️❤️

Hi, Dawn – I’m so sorry you had to go through such a serious illness and surgery! I was rushed into surgery about six weeks ago and had three incisions in my right side to drain fluids from my lung. I’ve been wearing loose t-shirts and sweaters since then, but I can wear any bottoms I want. Still, I like the idea of the dresses. I don’t usually wear dresses around the house during cold weather, so I chose oversized tees and leggings instead. I think I’ll try dresses and leggings now that you shared this. I can’t even believe you were able to squeeze on those jeans in the photo, even for a moment! I’m still not totally healed and am not even wearing fitted tops, or even ones that are not soft. Get well soon – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Aww thanks so sharing, Angie! Gosh, I hope YOU get well soon! Yeah, my incisions are from the belly button down to the bikini line, so nothing that even touches that area is working for me right now! I’m glad you can wear leggings and oversized tees! Please take good care of yourself and thanks so much for stopping by the blog!
