NYFW – Day 1 Recap

February 12, 2018

My first day of New York Fashion Week started off with coffee on the rooftop of our hotel, thinking about how lucky I was for the adventure ahead of me.

Video Shoot with Jambu Footwear

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Jambu Footwear fan, but I still can’t believe out of all the amazing bloggers out there I got picked to star in their promotional video!  This was a brand new experience for me and it was so fun!

First I got my hair done at the Dry Bar in Bloomingdale’s in Soho and then Mary Grace from Jambu took me for a chic breakfast at Balthazar’s.

Next it was on to the studio where Ann worked her magic on my makeup.

We started out with an interview …

Then I got to play model!

People couldn’t have been nicer to me and I was really surprised how fun it all was.  Even though I was nervous at first, it didn’t take long for my naturally silly nature to seep out …

After a full day of shooting, we wrapped up. And I think I could’ve easily gone straight back to the hotel for a long nap, but fashion week was calling my name ….

Ceremony

My first NYFW show of the week was a  combination voodoo ceremony & fashion show organized by Kelly Cutrone, featuring designers Mimi Prober, Hogan McLaughlin, and Xuly.Bet.

Dinner with Blogger Babes

After the show, I had dinner with two of my very fav blogger babes: Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista and Kali of In Spades.  We tried out a quaint little Italian restaurant called Pepolino’s. The food was delicious and the company was the best!

Day one under our belts and tummies full of risotto, it was time to try to get a bit of sleep before our big Day 2! Stay tuned for our next day at NYFW.
