NYFW – Fall Florals & Fishnets – WIW Day 2

So here’s my outfit for my Day 2 of New York Fashion Week. I’m loving the darker florals for fall!

I think the black velvet choker with the long dark floral dress was a natural combination for me.  I wore this same combination often in the early 90’s, sometimes with my Doc Martin combat boots.  This time around though, I added some of-the-moment styling with fishnets and suede block heels shoes.  (Read the full review on these shoes here and get a discount code.)

My Marc Jacob’s leather tote bag is my fashion week workhorse, both this year and last year.  Nothing looks as luxe and yet can hold SO. MUCH. STUFF. I often drool over smart little bags, but when it comes right down to it, I really like to carry a small suitcase with me most of the time! Investing in a high quality neutral bag will serve you for years to come, Ladies.

I’m thinking this pretty dress would look great with an obi belt too!  That’s a big trend on the runway and I’d like to find ways to work it into my wardrobe.  I’ll keep you posted when I find a good one!
