NYFW Travel Look with Soma (& Link Up)

Dressing to travel is always a balance of comfort and style, and I feel like I’ve hit just the right note here with this outfit from Soma!

Needing the perfect comfortable and chic look for my plane trip to New York Fashion Week, I reached out to Soma to ask for some items.  If comfortable clothing is essential for air travel, then it’s even more necessary for a red eye flight!  I’m loving these Soma apparel pieces.  Chic and stylish, yet as comfortable as my favorite SOMA jammies.

Why a red eye?  Well, one difficult part of juggling a career as a style blogger and a teacher, is that teachers only get a few personal days a year.  Since every day is precious,  I hate to waste one day on travel time, so I’ve become queen of the red eye flight.  It’s not ideal and I don’t get as much sleep as I’d like to, but pure adrenaline and absolute excitement keep me going!

This piece is a wear-all-the-time comfortable lightweight wrap/cardigan. You’ve already seen it dressed up with a Soma maxi dress.  Here it’s the perfect little topper for a comfortable travel look.

Smoothing Ponte Pants

I’m a sucker for any pants with “smoothing” or “slimming” in the title!  And these Smoothing Ponte Pants do not disappoint. They’re as comfortable as legging, but with more substance. Perfect balance of lounge and “real” clothing!

Style Essentials Soft Jersey Short Sleeve Tunic Tee Aerial White Stripe

Loving this long V-neck tunic; it’s heavenly soft and long enough that I don’t have to worry about it riding up on the plane.  Black and white stripes always look chic!
