Did you know Soft Surroundings, the go to shop for lovely soft clothing, also sells cosmetics, skin care, and fragrances?
I was fortunate to get a chance to try a few products out and here’s what I think …
First I tried Gilda, a delightful fragrance by Soft Surroundings, inspired by a mystery women of glamour in the 40’s. I love the old hollywood glamour of the perfume bottle. Isn’t it lovely? Best of all, it truly smells divine! My previous fav fragrance was Michael Kors Sexy Amber, but this is my new favorite now.
Here’s a description of the fragrance …
“Gilda combines exotic Calabrian Bergamot and Orange Blossoms from Seville with a delicate kiss of the once forbidden fruit, bright Grapefruit, to produce a tantalizing elixir of citrus top notes. The fragrance grows increasingly seductive in its Mediterranean Violet and Hyacinth heart. Warm, woody Papyrus Leaves evoke memories of sensuous sultry evenings on the Nile. Nostalgic notes of Vetiver Heart and Tonka Beans with nuances of aromatic Black Amber complete the memorable scent.”
How’s that for a wonderful description? But of course you need to smell it first chance you get.
Next I tried the luscious Pink Holiday lipstick. It’s a very rich creamy lipstick.
Here I’m wearing the dusty rose “Honeymoon in Rome” …
And here I’m wearing the peony pink “Shopping in Paris” …. you have to love a cool name! Plus the lipsticks come in a luxurious gold case. Love the glamour!
Also in this picture, I’m holding up the Brow Gal pencil, created by Tonya Brooks, the “Brow Gal” herself, brow artist to the stars. This clever device has a brow pencil on one side, complete with a sharpener so you can keep your brow lines fine. The pencil comes in six shades, so you can get your perfect match! Plus on the other end, there’s a brow brush to groom those pretty brows.

Pretty shades, love the pink! I love the Art Deco lettering and style of the perfume bottle as well. The description sounds lovely. I love light scents not overbearing. Looks like some fun products to try.

I know this is totally unrelated to your post here but I wanted to tell you that I think you should do a post on how your husband got his name! That would be a great story to read about–were his parents fans of Richard Burton or Tennessee Williams or did they just like the name or the movie? I would love to hear the background on this! I will move the film up in my Netflix queue, I've never seen it! xx
