Maybe because I was born in San Francisco during the era of the summer of love. Or was it all those sequined and fringe-edged dance costumes when I was a little girl? Or maybe coming of age in the 80’s in the time of hair bands and glam rock?
Whatever the reason, I love it and it’s a big trend right now and will continue to be all the rage in the spring. So how could I not do a fringe round up?!
First of all, let’s get to heart of the fringe movement … boho chic.
Loving this Roxy cardi/wrap that Santa brought me!
One of my favorite fashionistas, Monika from Style is My Pudding is the queen of boho, rock-goddess looks! Love her fringed long cardi and her fuzzy fringy jacket!
Because Shanna Said So is reason enough for me. Adore this cute casual boho look! (Side note: how perfect is the House of Harlow pendant with this look? Why did I never pick up one of those beauties?)
If you love boho, you have to check out Gnome Lover. She’s my go to for anything Anthropologie! And how adorable is she?
The always amazing Suzanne Carillo rocks so many different looks. Loving her in the this fringe-tastic ensemble!
Southern girls get in on the fringe action too with J from Bless Her Heart, Y’all wearing this cool aztec inspired sweater coat.
Boho not really your thing? Fringe can also be so glam! Check out these dolls.
Carylee of More Pieces of Me is a fringy glam delight in this fun mini.
And look at this stunning fringe dress for sale from Sheree at It’s Not That Deep.
Amy Ann of The Real Arnolds is dazzling in this statement fringe necklace.
Ashely from Fancy Stuff and Pretty Things looks sophisticated and fabulous with her fringy necklace. And hey, does a tassel count as fringe? Check out her bag!
Speaking of tassels, here’s the always beautiful Patti of Not Dead Yet Style wearing a charming fringy tassel pendant.
Here’s a glance at a few of my favorite looks of the year:
Ponchos and fringe.
Red, pink & leopard.
Maxis & chucks.
1960’s retro.
Moto.
Ladylike.
Is it a dress? Is it a vest? Is it a cape? Who knows?
Glad in gladiators!
Wrap it up.
Leopard AND plaid?!
Southwest at its best!
Back in black.
…
How was your 2014, Dolls? Mine was full of changes, both good and bad, including the loss of my best friend and shopping buddy, my mom. My hope for 2015 is that life settles into a nice rhythm and flow, and that any changes come in bite-sized bits.
Thanks for spending the year with me. So looking forward to another year of fashion fun with all you sweet fabulous chicks!

Missing my mom this Christmas, I found myself really wanting to incorporate her vintage coat into an outfit this season. I love this fabulous wool coat and the cool silver buttons. It’s a bit large on me, but I figured with the oversize coat trend, I could get away with it!
I started with my favorite basic LBD from New York & Company.
I added classic pumps and a vintage snakeskin clutch.
And I did the messy up-do (thank goodness messy is in, since I can’t seem to make a neat one to save my life) with vintage-inspired marcasite earrings.
Mom would’ve loved the classic simplicity. Sometimes less really is more, right?
Hope all my dolls had a very wonderful holiday celebration! In my next post, I’ll be sure to feature some of my Christmas gifts. Can’t wait to see what Santa brought all my fav fashionistas this year!
I thought I’d give last year’s F21 graphic sweater (original post here) a new twist by adding some buffalo plaid. To be quite honest I’m so mad for plaid right now that I kinda want to add it to everything anyway!
Outfit details:
Sweater – F21
Shirt – So (Kohls)
Jeans – Gap Always Skinny
Sneakers – Candies (Kohls)
Bag – Mia (Mellow World)
Bracelets – J. Crew
I took my French message sweater to a local Italian cafe (Dolcetto Cafe & Market) in our new neighborhood. Seriously I don’t even know how I’m not going to gain weight with all the delicious and adorable cafes all within walking distance!
I’m sure that icing drenched cinnamon roll was low cal, right?
Right?!
So Dolls, are you adding more plaid to your wardrobe? Are you still wearing your French themed graphic sweaters and tees?
