I love dressing for the holidays! It’s the perfect time to be a little extra and let yourself sparkle, shine, and shimmer! It’s fun to buy a special dress for a fancy party. But it’s also nice to pick out something new to mix in with what you already have. I’ve tried to give you a variety of choices in this post and I picked only things I felt like I would actually wear!
In this outfit below, I mixed a new red leopard skirt with a velvet Tadashi Shoji jacket that I was a lucky thrift store find. I added my red suede boots that I had bought for fashion week. I kept the rest simple with a plain black leather clutch and faux diamond earrings. I wanted to show that a few new things mixed with what you already had might be just the ticket to a fabulous festive outfit. And isn’t it nice to add pieces to your wardrobe that you’ll actually wear again?

Now every over 50 babe has her own style and sass, but most of us want to look sparkly and special, but not overdone. We want to look a bit sexy, but also appropriate and sophisticated. And we want to look expensive, but don’t want to waste our money on something we’ll never wear again … or maybe we do?! Here are some holiday party options … from totally practical to … not so much (but very fun!)
Here are my best tips and shopping links for getting your grown up party girl look on for holiday 2018!
