It’s the third week of school and this old teacher is finally getting back into the swing of things, including getting some photos of a cute teacher/work look!
That old school bell is ringing again, fellow teachers! Time to get ready for a brand new school year. This year let’s give ourselves wardrobe pieces that work as hard as we do AND make us feel like a million bucks.
I reached out to Chico’s to collaborate on some Back-to-School inspiration, because I love their versatile separates. With just a few fresh new fall pieces and some favorite Chico’s staples, I was able to make a week’s worth of fabulous looks!
This post is a collaboration with Chico’s. All opinions are all my own.
For those of you who don’t know, along with being a style blogger, I’m also a high school English teacher. I love my job (mostly), but it’s always an adjustment going back to work after a summer of blogging on my own schedule.
Lately I’ve seen several bloggers wearing spring/summer dresses as winter garb and looking quite adorable! So I felt inspired to try the trick myself. Here’s my pretty eShakti birdcage dress styled last summer on the left and for winter on the right.
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first. but I really like the way my outfit turned out. I added a turtleneck with boots and tights for warmth. I think it’s a good look for teaching … comfy and modest. And I even noticed that eShakti still has this dress and it’s on sale.
(Actually lots of great sales right now at eShakti!)
If you’re excited to shop for spring but are still having winter weather, this would be a fun way to rationalize a new dress … style it for winter now and spring later!
(You can always count on me for an excuse to shop!)
