Wardrobe Staple: The White Shirt (& Link Up)
August 23, 2018Okay, can I be honest here? I was late to game when it comes to appreciating the sophisticated and classy iconic white shirt. I would always read the white shirt on the list of must-have items for women, but I didn’t get it. I mean … first of all, it’s white and going to get dirty, right? And second of all, it probably needs ironing.
But with age comes comes an appreciation of timeless, versatile, sophisticated pieces .. and when it comes to those categories, nothing beats the white shirt.

Like everything else on my wardrobe staples list, this item is just so darn versatile! It can be worn with jeans or pants for a casual look. A denim jacket makes the perfect little topper for a dress too. If you have a more casual workplace, a denim jacket can seem like a friendlier option than a structured blazer. And of course you can also wear a denim jacket with shorts and with any length of skirt!

January 21, 2018I’m starting a new series on basics for wardrobe building and how can I not start with the best and most fundamental, the Little Black Dress? One reason so many of us buy a lot but still look in our closet and claim we have nothing to wear is because we focus on the bright shiny new stuff and forget the basics. At least that’s been my issue in the past, a wardrobe that’s all spice no substance. Though some women do seem to have the opposite problem and could stand to add a little pizazz!
