Tips for Rocking the Oversized Look with Eva Trends!

July 22, 2018

Walking down the street in this Eva Trends look, a lady stopped me to say “Oh my, what a happy dress!”

And I couldn’t agree more! Here’s to big happy polka dots and fun oversized design!

Eva Trends Polka Folks Smock Dress

This post is a collaboration with Eva Trends.  All opinions are all my own as always.

I’m excited to introduce my readers to Eva Trends.  Their website is full of cool and interesting pieces just right for making a fashion statement!  I’ve been on a polka dot kick lately and couldn’t say no to this oversized Polka Folks Smock Dress.  The fabric is cool enough for summer, but will be fun to style into fall too.  I’m loving the huge silvery-white polka dots. And pockets always make me unreasonable happy!

Extra good news: I’m partnering with Eva Trends to bring my readers a special discount.  Take 10% off your entire order with you use the coupon code DL10 at checkout!!

Tips for Pulling Off the Oversized Look

  1. Avoid frumpy accessories.  This is a look that needs something chic and edgy and/or fun and funky!

  2. Make sure it looks purposefully baggy.  It’s easier to make this trend work when the item was made to be baggy. Notice even though the dress is oversized, there are no big gaping arm holes.  (You can make this look work by buying pieces a size or two larger, but it’s trickier to get it right.)

  3. Show a little bit of body.  An arm. A leg. Something!

  4. Most importantly, walk with confidence! (That’s ALWAYS the best accessory!)

One reason to try this trend: imagine a whole day of walking around not holding in your tummy!  Yessss!! ?

Other items I’m wearing: Alexander Wang Bucket Bag / Jambu Boots (last season, also love these)/ Kendra Scott Elora Earrings/ Pink Sunnies (from Amsterdam, but these are fun) / Fishnets

I love clothing that is a bit more oversized! Not only are they comfortable to wear but there’s some air of mystery about them! Polka dots are so the rage these days and I love how you styled your dress with booties, it gives it an edgy vibe. Well done!
