Fall 2018 Runway Trends to Try Now!

August 7, 2018

When I was at New York Fashion Week in February, most of the designers were showing their Fall 2018 collections.  Here’s a few of the fall trends I thought my readers would like to start mixing into their wardrobes, along with a few tips and some shopping ideas.

(This amazing pinstriped suit by Taoray Wang.)

All photos are my own from NYFW.

Pinstripes

Pinstripes are classic and sophisticated. If you were considering investing in a pinstriped suit or jacket, now is the time to go for it!  So many great choices and I’m sure you’ll be wearing it for years.

Tomato Red

This bright orange-red was all over the runway!  Since it’s one of my best colors, I couldn’t be happier about it, of course.  Nothing can make you feel bold and beautiful like a powerful red!

(Another fabulous Taoray Wang look.)

Plaid

Plaid has been hot for awhile now and it just keeps getting hotter!  From fun colors to more neutral basics, you can feel good about adding more plaid into the mix this season!

Rainbows

You’ve already seen me wear some rainbow looks. I love the splash of bright stripes!

Print Mixing

We’ve all been mixing prints for awhile, but there seems to be a lot of creative mixed print clothes out there right now, especially dresses!  Mix your prints yourself or buy something with the prints already mixed!

Which of these trends are you loving, Dolls?  I’m pretty much all about all of them!  There are many more fall trends as well, like western detailing and futuristic metallics!  When it comes to trends, there’s always something for everyone.  No need to jump on every trend going by,  just pick the ones that suit you best and enjoy!

Hope you’re having fun looking forward to fall.  Be sure to check out my back-to-school wardrobe for teachers post if you haven’t yet!  Also, with NYFW only a month away, be sure to let me know what sort of coverage you like best!

Fun & Fashion,

Dawn Lucy

I’m so happy some of these trends are continuing, like pattern mixing! The stripes are something I’ve noticed a lot more of all of a sudden. Thanks for the guide xx
