Last week, my husband and I went to Eleuthra, Bahamas for vacation. After a year and a half of no travel, we were super excited to get away and go exploring! Here is the story of our trip, the good and the challenging too.
I know I’m way behind on my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post this year! I just got back from a tropical vacation. It felt so good to finally get to travel again, though to be honest, our trip did have some ups and downs (post coming soon). But back to the anniversary sale. I really feel that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has changed over the years. I think it used to showcase more new fashion, but now I’d say the sale is all about great basics. But I’m not complaining, because who doesn’t need fab basics? Here are my picks from the sale!
So far I’ve only ordered this basic cardigan sweater. I’ve worn my cozy black cardigan, purchased from the Anniversary Sale several years ago, half to death and it’s definitely time for a replacement!
Have you shopped the sale? Are you planning to? I’d love to hear what you have your eye on. Let us know in comments!
Fun & Fashion,
About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is ME talking to YOU, other middle-aged women who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. We still want to have fun with trends. And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, including style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and look fierce!
No doubt that I’m a jeans-tee-sneakers girl at heart. In the summer, it’s my go-to uniform, unless it’s particularly hot and I go for a sundress or shorts. This simple look is all sustainable style from Everlane.
One of my summer joys is getting to spend time with my girlfriends! On this day, I tried out a cool new Mediterranean restaurant with Cathy (Bay Area Fashionista) and of course did a little shopping as well!
I actually bought these lightweight gauze pants as a bathing suit cover up, but decided to wear them for a lunch out and they totally worked. Super comfortable and flattering, the pants were a Nordstrom Rack steal that I can’t seem to find again for you (sorry)!
I also wanted to do a simple look on this day to show off my pretty new Kendra Scott summer baubles, especially these necklaces!
55 seems like a big milestone to me. Retirement communities are 55+, right? I can get a 10% discount now on Tuesdays at Ross! And my retirement options are not such a distant nebulous thing in the far future anymore. Get old is weird. And fabulous.
Along with a fun trip up the California coast (pic), I’m also spending my birthday doing some serious reflecting.
