Last week, the hubby and I had a super fun little trip to LA. I thought I would share what I wore and give a few packing tips …
My favorite day of vacation? Shopping day!
Shannon and I on Rodeo Drive.
It’s hard to find just the right outfit for a marathon day of shopping. The most important accessory? Comfortable shoes! These Clarks kept my feet comfy for hours and hours of walking and shopping. (Exact shoes listed in shopping links.)
My only purchase on Rodeo was a lipgloss from Chanel. The saleslady was delightful and sent me off with the cutest bag.
After Rodeo Drive, we shopped our way down Melrose Avenue. I love the funky shops there and did quite a bit of “damage” … very fun! Wish I had taken more photos on Melrose, but I guess I was too busy actually shopping! Look for my fun new items featured in many posts to come. Packing tip: leave room in your suitcase to bring home purchases!

We also spent time at Disneyland and Universal Studios. My advice for dressing for a day at an amusement park? You must have very comfortable shoes! I read most people walk 5-10 miles a day at Disneyland and I believe it. You’ll also be really grateful to be wearing a wide brim hat (it’s too easy to forget to reapply sunscreen regularly) and I’d suggest a hat that has a tie at the neck (otherwise mine would be floating around somewhere on Splash Mountain). And even though I’m a fan of big bags, this is the perfect time to pare down and go with a crossbody instead.
Look how excited I am to be stalking Alice! Disneyland really does bring out the child in you!

By the way if you’re interested, we did all our planning through Expedia and were very pleased with everything!
Want to see more photos? Including pics of all the sweets I ate? 😉
