Burgundy for Fall 2025

November 25, 2025

Burgundy is having a moment! A classic fall/winter/holiday shade, burgundy is particularly in right now.

Here I’m wearing my Quince Boatneck Cashmere sweater in Rich Burgundy with my Naot suede booties in Cabernet! My wide leg Quince jeans, All Saints crossbody bag, and pearl hoop earrings finish off the look (similar).

After I took these pictures, I had quite an adventure! I took my Siberian husky, Rox, for a walk and she was mad because she wanted to go to downtown Willow Glen, not the way I was walking her. That little Houdini figured out a way out of her collar and ran downtown by herself, with her hysterical mama screaming, crying, running after her … ! She even crossed a busy street, while I stopped traffic, waving my arms! Anyway, long story short, thanks to a kind stranger, she is back home safe and sound now. And with a much tighter collar! This was such a cute look for a fun Saturday, but for the morning I had … sneakers and leggings would’ve been better. Ha!

Want to see these pieces styled other ways? Here’s the sweater with a different look, the jeans here, and here’s a casual fall look with the booties.

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion.  We still want to look beautiful and stylish.  We still want to have fun with trends.  And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have our own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit.  This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce!
