The other day I had a fun lunch date with Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista! We went to Valley Fair Mall and tried a new restaurant called Stick and Wok (very yummy!)

I wore my new Angela Scott sneakers (you can read my review here) with my favorite floral maxi which I’ve had for years and still love (long gone, but here’s a cute one). I get so happy about wardrobe pieces like that! As I try to pair down and get more intentional with my shopping, I really try to look for more pieces that will stand the test of time. Also wearing a V-neck tee and a beige sweater tied around my waist, and carrying my Botkier tote (another wardrobe work horse, no longer available, here’s a chic classic).
Also on the blog lately, here’s another outfit idea with the same skirt and my latest Quince look!
And as we head into a new season soon (well, pretty soon), I’m doing a closet clean out! Here is my post on How to Clean Out your Closet, which is one of my most popular ones, full of suggestions I’m using right now!

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. We still want to have fun with trends. And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have our own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce!
