When I want a fresh look, the first thing I like to do is take a look at what I already have in my closet. What can I mix and match in new ways? Inspired by all the brown that’s on trend right now, I decided to add a dark brown tee to my favorite jeans and blazer combo. Just this small change was enough to give me something a little different and on trend.

Did you know that Mocha Mousse is the Pantone color of the year? I actually really like the taupe tone of this shade of brown. I need to add something Mocha Mousse to my wardrobe, but for today, the chocolate brown tee I had in my closet did the trick.

I also wore some of my absolute favorite pieces. I’ve had these snakeskin booties for years and personally I still think they look chic. I love a wide-leg baggy jean and it also adds a current trend to the outfit. My Elie Tahari oversized blazer is a can’t-live-without piece that I wear all of the time. And personally I think my classy Strathberry bag adds a bit of a “luxe lady” vibe to anything I wear.
I took myself and my cute outfit out to Chromatic Coffee in Willow Glen. I love their industrial vibe and the strong cold brew. If you’re in the Bay Area, you definitely need to stop in!
