Uncommon Goods & Fun Fashion Friday Link Up!

March 31, 2016

If you’re a regular reader, you know I love it when shopping and do-gooding combine!

Today, I’m reviewing a cool company called Uncommon Goods, which combines the two beautifully!

Uncommon Goods is a very special company.  They support artists and designers and half of what they sell is actually handmade.

Also, Uncommon Goods works to minimize their environmental impact, encouraging their artists to use sustainable or recycled materials, using environmentally friendlier packing materials, and printing their catalog on Forest Stewardship Council certified and recycled paper.
Best of all, Uncommon Goods partners with these non-profit organizations to give back to the community:

RAINN
American Forests
Women for Women International
Reach Out and Read
The Flint Child Health and Development Fund

Now that’s a company I can feel really really good about supporting!  (Plus hey, they have really cool stuff!)

Here I’m showing off the beautiful Sari Market Bag which is made from upcycled sari fabric woven with hemp by hand in India.  It’s the perfect cool bag for a trip to the market or a day at the beach.

I’m also wearing this unique Mixed Metals Bar Necklace, hand-crafted in Argentina.

See more unique jewelry from Uncommon Goods on this page.

Some of my favorites:

and the best of boho here.

Other outfit details: Chambray tank – exact: Mimi Chica Denim Sleeveless Top – Nordstrom, Skirt – Old Navy (old), gladiator sandals – Seychelles, (shop Seychelles – Zappos)
And this perfect school teacher outfit starts with the perfect English teacher scarf, the Literary Scarf.
This particular one is telling the story of Jane Eyre!
Outfit details: booties – Vince Camuto  –Shop suede wedge booties at Zappos,  dress – Karina Dresses – Audrey, jacket – Lucky Brand Shop Lucky Brand denim jackets at Macy’s.

Can’t wait to see what you fashionistas are rocking this week.  Link up, link back, and visit each other!

I have heard great things for this company from different bloggers. I love the pieces they sent you, especially the tote. And two great looks in today's post too. There is something so fresh and Americana about blue denim. As usual you rock a maxi, but that second outfit has my heart. Adorable dress and scarf.

Thanks again so much for featuring me and my Vivi. I love what the other ladies are wearing too. Great favorites. Happy weekend!

I think this is one of my favourite looks of yours Dawn. So effortlessly chic and wonderful that you're supporting such a great cause. I love the denim crop with the white skirt and I really love those sandals too. And the necklace and the bag are the perfect companion pieces for the outfit. Colourful and unusual.
Jane Eyre is one of my favourite novels – I had to study it for my English Literature exam at school so I just might have to get this! Thank you for introducing me to Uncommon Goods; I'd not heard of them before.
