It’s that time again, Ladies! It’s the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and time for my annual dressing room selfies! Is it ironic that one of my most popular posts every year is also the least flattering?! Haha … oh well, I’m putting aside my vanity to help you navigate the good, bad, and ugly from this year’s anniversary sale! This year, there are wonderful choices … and few bummers!
Nordstrom card holders can start shopping today at 9:30 PT/12:30 ET. The sale opens up to the public next Friday, the 19th.

MY REVIEWS
Suits
Only for you ladies would I put these thighs in plaid pants! Here are three suits from the sale and I liked all of them, though my favorite is the middle one.
Left to right:
The Halogen Double Breasted Blazer and Plaid Skinny Pant is the least expensive and very versatile. True to size.
The Vince Camuto Ponte Plaid Blazer and Ankle Skinny Pants have a cool plaid, with little pops of blue. The pants are comfortable and flattering, though the elastic band waist in back won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. True to size.
The Nordstrom Signature was pricey, but beautiful. The blazer was especially well made. True to size. (And can’t find it on the sale!)
Coats
The Halogen purple and pink plaid coat is fabulous. The colors pop and the fabric feels really nice.
I’m sorry to say the Sam Edelman coat was a disappointment. The material felt a bit cheap. Maybe it just needed to be steamed? Still …I vote pass!
Sweaters
Top Row:
This Vince Cable Wool & Cashmere Blend Sweater is pricey but beautiful. If you’re between sizes, I’d go down one size.
The Vince cashmere sweater is gorgeous as well. The color was yummy, though not a good one on me personally.
The Halogen striped sweater is cute and true to size (and much more affordable than Vince choices).
Bottom Row:
The Topshop Teddy Fleece sweater is sooo super soft and cuddly. It’s currently in my maybe pile, but at only $35, I’m not sure I’ll be able to say no to it.
This gorgeous fuchsia Topshop shaker knit sweater is an absolute yes! The color is amazing and the fit is cute.
I have a feeling that this fun BP leopard cardigan is going to be one of the must-haves from the sale. It’s a great length and super cozy. It’s in my YES pile and I have a feeling that I’ll be wearing it a lot. If you’re between sizes, size up.
Blouses
Top Row:
Madewell Texture & Thread Crepe Wrap Top – A pretty red blouse with a cute knot detail. Size down one size.
Halogen Floral Blouse – Pretty blouse, but I was swimming in the XS. Size down!
Bottom Row:
Halogen Hidden Button Long Sleeve Blouse – Well made, nice fabric, and true to size … a keeper!
This Vince Camuto sleeveless blouse goes perfectly with the plaid suit above.
I noticed this Chelsea 28 blouse on the way out and didn’t get to try it on. Maybe next go around!
Tees/Camis
Dresses/Skirts
Topshop Print dress – the print is gorgeous, but the dress is NOT cut for pear shapes at all. It’s big on top and tiiiiight on the bottom. Apple shapes would love it! Love the print though? Get the wrap top!
This pleated leopard skirt is really nice, perfect length, nice fabric, true to size.
Jeans
This particular Nordstrom store didn’t have any of the jeans that I wanted to try on, but because of that, I did find one pair that I didn’t know I wanted. The pair on the bottom left are Eileen Fisher. Made of organic cotton and with a nice stretch, these jeans made my maybe list. Size down one size.
The other two pairs are Topshop and are cute, though I prefer more stretch in my jeans. True to size, though make sure you look at the US size and not the UK size! I tried on the Topshop Ripped Dad Jeans just for a kick, but they’re growing on me. Do I need them?!
Shoes
I didn’t try on all the shoes! Loved the “Rockstar” snakeskin and studs Steve Madden pair (top right), but not sure how much I would wear them, since I couldn’t wear socks with them. I have this pair on my list! What do you think? I think it’s the perfect basic bootie that I’ll end up living in. The croc effect adds of the moment detail! And the Vans Old Skool Suede Low Top Sneaker are also on my must have list! And …I added these to my cart as well … I’m a sucker for a Jeffery Campbell boot!
Accessories
The handbag choices are all pretty basic, though nice. I liked these Rag & Bone black sunglasses. This hat is cute but HUGE … if you have a big head, go for it! I’m sure the snakeskin belt will be a popular choices this season. There was a pretty selection of scarves and wraps.
Jewelry
The selection of Gorjana earrings was classy and chic. Madewell brought the fun acrylic earrings. I personally didn’t like the style of the Kate Spade earrings, but they looked like they were well made.
