Mrhua Mrshua by NiuNiu Chou SS20 at NYFW

This SS 2020 show of MrHua Mrs Hua was my first experience of the brand and it was totally delightful.

 

The Chinese brand, MrHua MrsHua, created by NiuNiu Chou, is one that embraces a genderless aestetic.  This Spring/Summer 2020 collection is called”Male Left Female Right of MIX.”  The runway was full of tribal influences, exaggerated shapes, decorative details and a genderless and even seasonless vibe. I loved the whimsical and playful feel of the show!

 

The cherry on top was getting to see Ms. J. Alexander, of America’s Next Top Model fame, walking the runway. Ms. J is the epitome of gender bending fabulousness!

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is definitely a designer I will be keeping an eye on. Looking forward to seeing what comes next from MrHua MrsHua!
