Today is the first day of school for us and this is what I wore on this hot August day.
If you’re a new reader, you might not know that I’m a high school English teacher, along with being a style blogger. This is the busiest time of the year for me and if I’m temporarily a bit slow posting, replying to comments, or visiting your blog, I know you’ll be understanding.
Here’s my fellow teacher and fashionista, Lynn, and I with our much needed venti coffees!
I’ll see you all on Friday for the Fun Fashion Friday link up party!
Have a great week, Dolls!

I am a teacher, too, but we don't start for another two weeks….. I love your first day dress! I've got mine already picked out! Great blog, I look forward to seeing your outfits and knowing that there are well-dressed teachers out there not wearing corduroy jumpers and turtlenecks.. 🙂
I love that dress on you. Hope the first day went smoothly for you!
You look so lovely and chic on your first day back! See you at the link up, Dawn. xx T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I love the looks of that dress! eShakti is a great option for us tall ladies since we can input custom measurements. So far, I have an eShakti top but maybe I should consider a dress too. Hope your first week back goes well!
Hope the first day back went well. Schools over here don't go back until the first week of September so all the museums are bursting but there's no school run traffic in the mornings! I bow down to your sandals. I don't think I'd be able to walk in those but they look awesome!
That dress is beautiful! Hope your first day back after the break went well! 🙂

A beautiful dress.
I was a blogger and high school journalism teacher for the last 5 years, so I know what a challenge it is to do both. I left teaching in the spring, but my heart is with all teachers as you start back. Have a great year with your students.
Can you tell me how true to size eShakti dresses are? According to their size charts, I should be a size up from the one I usually order. Hate hassling with mail order returns! Thanks–
Hi Rita! Sure I can! EShakti is pretty true to size. I'm usually a 4/6 and have both sizes in EShakti dresses. A four fits me perfectly and 6 is a little bit big (if I want something to have an extra comfy fit).
