Crisp White Shirt & Wide Leg Jeans

November 5, 2021

I’ve challenged myself to try to share more outfits with wardrobe staples that I’ve had in my closet, rather than just showing new things  … though let’s face it, that’s really fun too!

I really like the way this simple outfit came together.  I used to rebel against the idea that a crisp white shirt was a wardrobe staple, but now that I have a few, I have to admit that they always do look chic in an understated way.  Loving these Way High Baggy Jeans, though I should probably have trusted Everlane to get the sizing right and just order my regular size 8. I went up a size to make sure the pants didn’t pull over my hips, but they are a bit large.  If I feel ambitious, I’ll go get them nipped in at the waist which would probably make them just perfect.

I’ve had this fringe bag for awhile and realized that Nordstrom carries the exact bag now.  The bag looks rich, but it feels cheap, to be honest.  But I couldn’t resist the fringe. Also available in brown, tan, and ivory.

Also on Fashion Should Be Fun lately, this style tip created with Appleseed’s wardrobe staples and these fun 90s vibe jeans, also from Everlane.
