I had some nice reader ask me about my skincare routine. That’s always such a nice compliment, so of course I’m happy to share!
Why haven’t I shared the whole skincare system before? Well, it’s nothing sexy. Some of it comes from a dermatologist. And frankly, I have dabbled in a few other helpful things (like botox) so I can’t say this is ALL I do.
Also, let me be clear right up front: I’m not any kind of skincare expert; I’m just sharing what I do. My skin is normal to oily and is prone to breakouts, as well as wrinkles. This is my current system, based on some advice from a dermatologist and an esthetician, as well as just my experience.
My Routine:
I remove my makeup with Neutrogena Wipes, a drugstore product that everyone loves.
I use Obagi Clenziderm to clean my face with my Clarisonic Sonic Facial Cleaner. And sometimes if I get breakouts, I use Biore Charcoal Cleanser.
Then I use Glycolix 10% Cleansing Pads.
At this point, I use Obagi 20% Vitamin C Serum during the day. At night I use a dermatologist prescribed Retin-A mixed with the Obagi Blender.
Both the Retin-A and the Glycolix pads are strong exfoliators and if I understand correctly, it’s a good idea to work your way up to this amount of exfoliating.
And I use Elastiderm Eye Cream around my eyes. I go light with it during the day and put on a heavier layer at night.
I use Obagi Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sun Shield every single day.
Those are my tried and true, use-all-the-time products!
I do love to try different things and dabble here and there though. I’ve enjoyed trying the Sio beauty pads before a special occasion. And I just tried the Microdermamitt and like it as well.
That’s it, Friends! Have a skincare recommendation for us? Be sure to share in the comments!

Dawn Lucy
