It’s here … the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It’s the one sale a year that you can buy the latest items for a sale price.
Cardmembers have early access depending on your card status: Icons can start shopping August 4, Ambassadors can start shopping August 7, Influencers can start shopping August 10, and Insiders (all the rest of the card members!) can start shopping August 13th. EVERYONE can start shopping August 19! Prices go back up on August 31!
My Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Make a List – It’s always a good idea to make a list. Probably the smartest move would be to do a closet inventory before you even start browsing the preview sale. Think about what fall staples you need in your closet and what needs to be replaced.
Give Yourself a Budget – I always give myself a budget for the sale. Otherwise, I suddenly think I need EVERYTHING!
Don’t Get TOO Swept up in the Hype – You will see Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shopping ALL over social media for weeks! Does it live up to the hype? Well, yes and no. Personally I always enjoy the hype a bit. It feels like one big shopping party with all my friends! But it’s also easy to get carried away and buy more than you really want or need. The prices are good, no doubt, but they’re not giving things away. It’s the best time to stock up on some basics for fall and maybe a special piece or two as well. But hey, don’t take out a second mortgage on the house!
My Coverage – I always do a dressing room try-on for my readers and it’s one of my most popular posts of the year, every single year! I totally enjoy it and will l miss doing it. This year I’ll be doing mirror photos from home. I’m able to shop on the 10th and I hope to have that post up by August 13th when the sale opens to all Nordstrom card holders. However, I’m not making any hard promises this year. School starts the same week which is awful timing!
