To be honest, I didn’t plan on making a blog post about this outfit, but I had so many DMs about my Janis Joplin tee that I thought I’d go ahead and do an outfit post!

Years ago somewhere along the way, probably in a used bookstore, I picked up a biography about Janis Joplin and found her fascinating. I don’t pretend to be a super fan or an expert, but I do feel an affinity to anything that revolves around Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco in the late 60’s. I was born there in 1966. My parents weren’t hippies, being a little older and not so into youth culture, but somehow something in the air must’ve seeped into my collective consciousness because I’ve always loved the music and message.
Which is just a really wordy way of saying, I think Janis Joplin is cool and I liked this t-shirt!
Along with the retro rock tee, I’m wearing I’m Frame cropped flare jeans, Kendra Scott earrings, and a crochet cardigan and Mephisto sandals that I’ve had for years. I’ve had a million (okay okay, maybe 7) requests to link this straw bag, but it’s from several seasons ago. I will link some cute options though for sure.
When my husband and I decided to go to San Francisco for the day, I switched from sandals to booties and a warmer cardi. It was a gorgeous spring day, but always a little cooler in SF than in San Jose.
