Ruti – Grown-Up Cool

April 26, 2019

I’m excited to introduce my readers to a designer I’m just loving. Have you heard of Ruti? I got the very special treat of visiting the Ruti designer store in Palo Alto and … wow, I really vibe with this designer! Everything is made for the grown-up cool girl, and that’s just who I am! (Or who I think I am, anyway!)

About Ruti

Ruti Zisser is an American Israeli fashion designer. Working as a tech executive, Ruti found that she had trouble finding the high-quality, cool, and flattering pieces that she yearned to wear, so she created her own brand! Gotta love a woman who knows what she wants!

Ruti has three rules for her fashion: it must be cool, flattering, and practical! I can’t imagine three more perfect rules, right?

There are five Ruti stores in California, as well as stores in New York, Dallas, Scottsdale, and Seattle. And of course you can always shop on the beautiful website as well. Ruti is even offering my readers a special discount: get 15% off your first Ruti purchase with the code: 15DAWN … (not valid on sale items or combined with any other offer).

My Ruti Experience

If you followed along on my Instastories, you saw all the fun I had trying on the gorgeous Ruti designs. If you are in the Bay Area, you really need to stop by one of the local stores, and if you go to the Palo Alto store, be sure to let the stylist Anca help you put together a look. She’s a sweetheart with great style! Mention my code in store and you can still get your 15% discount!

My Outfit

I was invited to bring home one look to keep and with so many elegant pieces, what a difficult choice THAT was! But once I tried on this amazing black architectural set, I was just gaga over it and couldn’t leave without it.

The Oval Jacquard High Low Griffith Blouse is just so darn cool. The graphic textured fabric is beautifully structured with a high low hemline.

Oval Jacquard Kris Combo Pants have the same textured fabric in the front and a simple black fabric in the back, which makes the pants ultra flattering.

The set is so luxe worn together, but of course each piece can be worn and styled with other pieces as well. My readers know I always appreciate versatile quality pieces in my wardrobe.

And if I don’t twirl in a look I love, who am I, right?!

I wore this fabulous look for a posh lunch date with my dear friend, Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista. Thanks for playing photographer, Cathy!

Have fun checking out the Ruti site and don’t forget to use code 15DAWN for 15% off your first Ruti purchase! As always, feel free to email or DM me with any questions and I always appreciate my readers’ post comments too!

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion.  We still want to look beautiful and stylish.  We still want to have fun with trends.  And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit.  This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce!
