R13 Mechanic Shirt

The economy is in trouble, but the sales ARE hot.  I know some of my readers have lost jobs and are in no mood to shop right now. And I get that.  But if you do have a little money for a treat, this might be just the time that you’ll find a splurge for less.

I love the funky and edgy vibe of R13, but the pieces are pricey.  However, I found this R13 mechanic shirt at American Apparel Liquidators for 40% off an already reduced price!  I couldn’t resist! I also saw some good deals on Farfetch (shop R13 on Farfetch).

I’m sure I’ll be wearing this denim shirt mostly with jeans and sneakers, but I couldn’t help but give it a little extra interest with my pretty snake sandals that I haven’t had a chance to wear this spring.  At least they got to take a spin around the living room! Also, these wide leg jeans are a bit hard for me to carry off with my pear shape, but the extra heel height gives me just the extra slimming power I need to feel cute in them. (Pear shape style tip!)

You don’t need an R13 shirt to recreate this look.  Take any denim shirt and pair it with wide leg jeans, then add some special sandals, maybe something with extra texture or an unusual color.

Also on the blog lately, wearing a hoodie with a blazer, machine washable shoes, and my new favorite track pants! (I’m seriously wearing them right this minute.)
