It is even a Dawn Lucy vacation if I don’t snap some street style pics? Seriously, this alone could be an all consuming hobby for me! I love seeing what women are wearing and how they’re putting it all together. My post on Amsterdam Street Style from last summer was a big hit, so I definitely wanted to share some Montreal street style this summer!
Most of the photos were taken on the sly, but I did ask a few women if I could take their photo. I had to stop this fabulous women walking down the street and it turns out she’s a style blogger too! Meet Lily Yange, a super sweet and stylish Toronto blogger. Follow her @lilyyange!
Of course I had a blast finding street style everywhere we went. I was surprised that my husband actually got into it too and found some great style. Mostly I just snapped on the go, so some pics are quite bad. I decided to group outfits by trends and add a few shopping suggestions as well. I hope you enjoy checking them out as much as I enjoyed collecting them!
Animal Print
Leopard and snake print were all over the chic streets of Montreal!
Yellow
Lots of yellow on the streets of Montreal … sometimes as the main color and sometimes used as an accent.
Striped Crops
The weather was hot, but these ladies stayed cool in wide-legged striped cropped pants.
Denim Trends
Denim is a go-to all over the globe, and Montreal is no exception. I saw overalls, distressed jeans, over-sized denim jackets, and denim shorts. Mikey Mouse denim also seemed to be a trend!
Florals
A summer staple everywhere, florals were seen all over the place.
The Little Red Dress – Bell Sleeves a Plus
These two ladies looked adorable in their little red dresses. I’d pick a longer style for myself personally, but I’m here for the red … and the bell sleeves!
Shirtdress
The classic shirtdress is a wear-to-work staple that looks instantly pulled together.
Black
Montreal stylistas know that black is always the new black. No explanation needed!
Combat Boots
Combat boots are big right now. Pull out those old Dr. Martens, or pick up something brand new. Wear with dresses and skirts for that 90’s vibe.
BTW, just bought the Ash Razor Boots for myself!
Athleisure
Look effortlessly chic with a cool athleisure look, like this one. Side note: I saw classic Converse sneakers everywhere as well.
ICYMI, here are a few other Montreal posts:

And before you know it, I’ll be sharing New York Fashion Week content … only 16 more days!!
Fun & Fashion,

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. We still want to have fun with trends. And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce!
