I hope everyone had a fun weekend! If you follow me on Instagram, you know the hubby and I went to a July 4th parade and then fireworks! I just love the little traditions that make a holiday special!
So tell me I’m not the only one who buys things and then forgets about them. I got this dress for a steal at the late end of the season sales last summer. So fun to find it in my closet! Like a surprise present from my past self! (Okay okay, I watch too much sic-fi).
Something about the drapey maxi style reminds me of a goddess so I continued that feel with the gladiator sandals.
Then I gave it a 70’s vibe with this funky vintage purse.
What do you think? Does it work? I liked the odd combination quite a lot, though after the photos I switched to a big practical straw tote for going out and about that day.

Love the dress and your Rocksbox House of Harlow pieces.
It totally works!!! I think the purse adds some great personality to the mix!! And yes, I have bought something and totally forgotten about it (only once though…I usually try to wear it as soon as I buy it to make sure it's going to work) jodie

You're not alone. I just found some black capris I bought in Paris in June, hung in my closet and…forgot about! You look lovely in this dress, it so suits you, and shoes/accessories are spot on.

Of course your clutch works, it's beautiful! 🙂 And I like the necklaces too 🙂
After my big wardrobe downsize as I cleaned out to make space for a nursery, I found so many things in my wardrobe still NWT! I'm trying to stop that happening again, as often I didn't want them when I found them and they went right in the donate pile!
Away From The Blue
You look stunning in this elegant black maxi and I love the necklaces. =)
Um…forget about purchases I've made?? Oh no…that NEVER happens, dearest Dawn!! ;D Your "goddess" combination of this Old Navy maxi-dress and studded gladiator sandals is lovely; and I agree that your little vintage bag adds a wonderfully quirky finishing touch!! P.S. Are those gorgeous necklaces from Rocksbox going to be keepers?! XOXO

A simple black maxi is so lovely – super comfy and easily dressed up or down. Love your layered necklaces, the turquoise is beautiful.

So guilty of doing the same thing – I am glad you "gifted" this pretty dress to your future self 😉
