Alexander Michael Snyder SS18 (& Link Up)

October 12, 2017

Some of you may remember that last July I got a chance to meet Alexander Michael Snyder, a San Francisco fashion designer and past contestant on Project Runway. Well, I was lucky enough to get invited to his studio again, this time to see his gorgeous Spring/Summer 18 collection, inspired by magical Frida Kahlo!

AMS Atelier is a high end and modern clothing line that is designed to make every women look and feel amazing.  The Alexander Michael Snyder line is always size inclusive and Alex thinks about his customer and her figure flattering needs when he designs.  Each piece is made with so much care right in his studio in San Francisco. I also love how Alex describes his muse as an Upper East Side lady who can jump on a motorcycle for adventure!  She is powerful and independent!

The Alexander Michael Snyder Spring/Summer 18 collection plays with elements of the decadent and Art Deco 1920’s.  All the pieces are so luxe, made with fine craftsmanship, and designed with true artistry. Alex took inspiration from the iconic Frida Kahlo and her fierce, feminine and unapologetic style. There’s plenty of sheen and sequins, along with gorgeous fabric inspired by grosgrain ribbons, and eye-catching pops of hot pink! I also loved the crisp white and navy floral print that looks like an artist just brushed up again her work in the the most perfect way!

A huge thanks to Alex for letting me share his gorgeous images and video with my readers!  Below that are a few snapshots from my visit.  (Yes, I got to try things on … heavenly fun!)

My photos from the day …

Look of the week:

This week I’m particularly digging this dark floral look from Debbie of Fashion Fairy Dust!

Doesn’t she look extra darling?

Hope all my readers and their loved ones are safe and sound right now. First the floods, and then the Vegas shooting, and now the fires here in California … too much stuff lately. Sending out big hugs and loving vibes to everyone!

Oh wow…would I ever love to have a couple of Alexander Michael Snyder designs in my closet, dearest Dawn!! Those white patterned pants in the second image are AMAZING (hello – can we just skip right past winter and get straight to SS18?!) and the pops of fuchsia are totally speaking to me, too!! (Hmm…I wonder why?!) How amazing that you were able to visit the studio and see where the magic happens; and don’t even get me started on how awesome it must have been to actually try on some of his creations!! Yeah…I might be just a little envious right now!! XOXO

Let me begin by saying that I’ve been a super fan of PR since it began, I’m literally watching a rerun as I write this comment. I am beyond thrilled at your opportunity to visit with AMS and see his stunning collection. The model is lovely but I especially enjoyed seeing YOU in his signature couture. So happy for you, doll.
