I just celebrated the big 6-0!

Isn’t it funny that the older we get, the younger numbers sound?! I used to think of 60 as ancient. But now? Well, here I am … sixty and sassy, and enjoying every moment!
I’ve always found getting older to be a positive journey. Sure, there’s more wrinkles, belly fat, etc etc. But there’s also so much confidence and joy in knowing yourself so well. And since I’ve just retired from 34 years of teaching high school, sixty feels like a brand new exciting chapter!
I’ve just returned from a vacation to the Pacific Northwest to celebrate both my birthday and my retirement. More about that to come, including what I wore of course. The photo above is me on my birthday, dressed for a special fancy dinner with my wonderful husband. The look is from Another Girl, a brand that I honestly never heard of before, but I fell in love with this dress on Shopbop. It was just perfect for the occasion. If you’re interested in Another Girl, I suggest sizing up! I’m usually a medium, but I took online advice to heart and ordered a large and it was perfect. And now I see now this dress and others are on sale, so lucky you!
