What should you wear to your high school reunion?

Anything you want!

It was an anything goes fashion evening at my 30 year high school reunion this weekend.  And that’s the way it should be … everyone wearing what makes them happy! 
Of course I wanted to dress up a bit. 
(Imagine that!)

Here’s my outfit ….

Skirt – White House/Black Market
Top- Calvin Klein
Shoes – BCBG
Clutch – thrifted

I got a couple of Audrey Hepburn comparisons and what fashionista doesn’t want to hear that?!

This is going to sound so “fashion nerdy” but I really loved the contrast of all the different textures.  There was the wavy top, the woven skirt, the snakeskin bag, and then the shiny patent leather shoes.  I think it all worked together so well since I kept the color palette simple.

Off we went to the reunion.  My handsome husband was such a good sport to go with me.

And here’s the bevy of beauties who greeted me there!  So fun to see so many faces from the past.  And what a great looking group!

    Fabulous look. Hope it went well. I haven’t had any school reunions yet. I have been out of school for 7 years now. Would be quite a big event if we did have one, I think I’d push myself to go even though I’d be pretty nervous.

    The first thing I thought of when I saw these was how much you remind me of Lauren Bacall. You have that classic femme fatale vibe in this outfit. I'll bet you knocked 'em dead at the reunion!
    I live too far away for reunions (and they couldn't handle me then so I very much doubt they could now LOL).

    I've never been to a school reunion, dearest Dawn, although I would have loved to go…primarily because I don't think anyone would have recognized me!! (Let's just say that I was a late bloomer!!) You looked absolutely gorgeous for your "blast from the past"…a knockout from your flirty bob all the way down to those killer red pumps!! I'll bet your hubby was more than happy to be your escort for the evening; I'm sure he was secretly on bodyguard duty, too!! ;D

    Unfortunately, when my class reunites, I am usually two countries away. So no I haven't been to any reunions.

    That said, your outfit looks great and I agree, the different textures work very well together and give this otherwise "simple" look something unexpected and interesting.

    Boy I need some colored shoes …
