As a style blogger who wants to look good AND a teacher who needs comfort for long days on her feet, I’m becoming the self-professed queen of comfortable and cute footwear! Today I’m sharing a brand I haven’t tried before, Vionic! This podiatrist-approved brand uses biomechanical technology to design footwear that works with the way your body and feet actually move. Made with full contact support and deep cups, Vionic footwear provides your feet all day comfort. In other words, Vionic gives you the orthopedic feel without the orthopedic look!
This post is a collaboration with Vionic. All opinions are all my own as always.
I decided to try to Joslyn Ankle Boot, made with weather resistant leather, a wool accent, and a comfortable stacked heel. The footbed has a removable microfiber covered EVA.
Vionic knows that there’s so much more to each of us than what’s on social media. They challenged me to share the woman behind the outfit, what makes me special, and what makes me unstoppable!
As I’ve matured, I feel like I’ve had some shifts in perception that have shaped me into the woman I am today. I believe happiness and self-love are habits. I have made a promise to enjoy the journey and to treat myself well. No more being a martyr for any reason, not even fashion! When I’m comfortable in my outfit and my shoes, my confidence soars and I can take on any challenge.
Don’t I look unstoppable in my comfortable Vionic booties?!
Fun & Fashion,
About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is ME talking to YOU, other middle-aged women who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. We still want to have fun with trends. And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, including style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce.
Love the complete look. The shoes don’t look orthopedic at all, they look really comfortable.
What a great outfit!!!! And 🥰 Vionics!!!!
Thanks so much, Lisa! OXOX
What a beautiful dress! So perfect for this time of the year! And the boots fit the look so well!
Oh, how I love that dress! I went to Soft Surroundings to try it on as soon as I saw it in their catalog last fall. I thought it would be perfect for a February wedding in Florida. Alas, it looked terrible on my large bust. So wonderful to see you wearing it – you look beautiful! They’re offering it again this year.
I have to be honest, I’m not crazy about the look of those boots, though. I know comfort must be the priority for most of us, but I wish there were prettier options for us gals with bad feet. I found a cute pair of Trotters fisherman’s sandals that I’ve bought in three colors, but I’m still looking for the best boot. I have several pair of Joseph Seibel boots and booties that I bet you’d like – and they’re more attractive IMHO than these. Not sure if they’re podiatrist approved, but I was fitted for them several years ago at a local comfort footwear store. They still look pretty good, although I’d like to replace a couple of them.
Thanks for the post!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Aww sorry the dress didn’t work out for you. Yeah, we all don’t look good in everything, that’s for sure. I’m always envious of women who can wear a sheath dress. Never works on me!
Glad you found some comfortable shoes for yourself. Comfortable is always the way to go, Lady!!
You always look good in everything! The boots do look comfy, although I’d probably wear them with jeans. I’m in the market for a pair of really comfy shoes or booties because I’ll be on my feet all day Monday-Wednesday now, working in a specialty boutique downtown. Keeping busy and it’s harder when your feet hurt!
You are unstoppable in many ways!
YOU are unstoppable too my dear! I’ll need to stop by and check out this boutique sometime! How cool!
