In honor of this month’s “How I Wear My” (here & here), I’m styling my favorite clutch two ways. Are you a clutch gal? I love the way they look, but I fully admit to being one of those types who carry everything but the kitchen sink in her purse and have trouble with paring down. But you know what? When I try, I realize that I really don’t need half the stuff I carry around all the time. But even so … don’t expect me to give up my big totes anytime soon. I mean … you never know when you might need bandaids, a lint roller, bobby pins, Ibuprofen, or extra pairs of sunglasses ….
Here’s my funky casual look. I used the studs on the clutch to inspire a bit of a rock & roll vibe.
Outfit Details and Shopping Ideas:
Clutch – Urban Expressions (Nordstrom Rack)
BF jean shorts – my own crazy creation from Old Navy jeans
Leopard belt – I cut off the tag and I have no idea! (Marshalls)
Cage/gladiator shoes – Steve Madden/ Madden Girl
Tank – Fallon Ikon
Then I glammed up a bit. Here I spiced up my LBD (little black dress) with red heels and sunnies and the studded clutch.
Outfit Details and Shopping Ideas:
Dress – New York & Company
Red shoes – Vintage Prada (thrifted)
Sunnies – Marc by Marc Jacobs
So tell me the truth … how much stuff is in your bag?!
Be sure to check out all the fashionistas styling clutches for this month’s HIWM!
And hope to see you all for the Fun Fashion Friday link up party, starting Friday Eve (AKA Thursday afternoon)! Just wait ’til you see the crazy tacky shirt I try to pull off this week!!

I'm the same way…love clutches in theory, but in practice, well that's another story. When I do carry my clutches I typically have my giant purse in the car. You know, just in case…lol! Love both looks Dawn, smokin' hot as always!

Debbie, I do the same thing … have a big bag in the car! LOL! Thanks, Dear! OXOX
Love the all black look with the red shoes! I love the look of clutches, but I'm with you… I tend to carry a lot of stuff, so I would need a REALLY big one.
Hee … me too, Hon! OXOX
The first look is a nice casual look, but I prefer the elegance of the second, with this dress so beautiful, and shoes of this spectacular and sophisticated design.
Thanks so much! 🙂
Great looks both! Love that clutch, but I couldn't get squat in that thing, alas, 'cause it sure does look good. Adore those red shoes, too, now those I'd have no problem with whatsoever.
Well thank you!! 🙂
I love your clutch and the shoes in each look. I carry totes all the time myself.

Thanks Rachel! OXOX
I use clutches from time to time. I think it really depends where I am going or if I will need a ton of things! I really love the look with the dress and the heels. It is such a chic look. Your casual look is a perfect pairing with the clutch as well!

Thanks so much, Denise! OXOX
I used to carry so much in my bags before baby. Now I know I only need the essentials, and baby needs everything from the nursery it feels like sometimes!
I do like using clutches or small bags now and then, but I can easily fill up my work totes with lots of 'not so essential but don't want to be without it' items!

I can only imagine how much extra stuff having a baby puts into your bag, Dear! Thanks for stopping by!

Love both of these two looks, especially those shorts in the first look. Same clutch casual and dressy and totally works!

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. The LBD is pretty!
I am with you about my real every day purse – it's full of stuff! It's a nice change to use a clutch and give my shoulder a break.

Great selections which are simple but very charming as they fit into the natural surroundings so well! Love the layering effect too which is so chic
