My husband and I don’t go out in the evening too often anymore, but recently we ventured to San Francisco Chase Center to see the iconic Jerry Seinfeld do stand up comedy, with Jim Gaffigan opening. When my husband surprised me with the tickets, of course the first thought was “what am I going to wear?”
Shop This Look:
This was my first time to Chase Center in San Francisco, where the Golden State Warriors play and where there are other big events, like concerts. For this comedy event, I dressed in all black for a simple, chic look. I wore a cut out sweater with my NYDJs black jeans and wore comfortable booties for walking around the stadium.
If you’re going to the Chase Center here are my recommendations.
-
Figure out where you’re parking ahead of time and buy a pass online.
-
Keep bags smaller than 14 x 14 x 6 inches.
-
Wear comfortable shoes. Even if you park close by like we did, we still ended up walking around the stadium a lot.
-
If you are seeing a music concert, you might want to check out my blog post “What to Wear to a Rock Concert Over 40.”
-
If you’re seeing the Warriors play, of course feel free to break out all your blue and gold gear!
-
Be sure to walk around outside to the back of the center to take a picture with the bay in the background. (But learn from our mistake and be sure to get the bay and the Bay Bridge in the background instead of the ugly construction equipment!)
-
The seats are cramped, so try to avoid bringing bags and coats.
Have you been to a big venue recently? What did you wear? Let us know in the comments!
Also on the blog lately, styling southwestern patterns and styling fall textures.
