Do you ever get outfit inspiration from unusual sources? This outfit was inspired by my dog’s cute gray and camo sweatshirt!
THE OUTFIT
Cathy of (Bay Area Fashiontista) and I had planned to meet for brunch at Santana Row, an upscale outside mall close to us. I couldn’t think of what to wear and I dressed Lucky first and then decided to try to use his cute sweatershirt (gray with a camo skull) as a jumping off point. Do you ever get outfit inspiration from unusual places?
I got out my camo tee, a great basic that I’ve had for years, added my long gray cardigan which was a Nordstrom anniversary sale find, and my Madewell full leg cropped pants. I love these cool jeans, but to be honest, they’re not the most flattering on my … umm … junk in the trunk! I feel cuter in them with a long cardigan or coat. I added some fishnets and booties, such an easy and fun way to make any outfit feel more trendy right now.
LUCKY
Eleven years ago, I saw this cute scruffy little face in a local shelter and took him home. It was one of the best decisions in my life. Truly. Lucky taught me about living in the moment in pure joy! He was about two when I adopted him, so he’s about 13 now, but he still acts like a frisky puppy half the time. If you have the time and money, consider adopting a shelter pet. They’ll fill your life with joy and love! (And hey, if you’re a nut like me, you can even wear matching outfits!)
