It’s all about plaid right now, right? Loud plaid, subtle plaid, gingham, flannel, check, 90’s Clueless plaid … SO MUCH PLAID!
I’ve been looking for just the right versatile subtle plaid blazer and found the perfect one at Soft Surroundings.
I wanted a subtle plaid that I could wear to work and wear for weekends as well. This black and white check with a bit of a caramel color woven in seemed just right for fall. Actually the lightweight fabric is actually pretty good for year around here in California.
I couldn’t wait to wear my St. James Plaid Jacket(c/o) so I styled it for a Saturday night out with the hubby. We went to an art show downtown featuring Shannon’s friend’s amazing work. I went all out with the plaid theme by wearing my plaid booties as well! I made the look more fun and casual with my Frame Denim jeans (now 60% off!!) and these big 70’s inspired tortoise earrings(c/o). Also I’m loving leather tote bag from Madewell, a recent purchase. It’s soft leather in a gorgeous shade of cognac brown, just perfect with neutrals or fall tones. And let’s face it, no matter how many cute little bags I have, my roomy totes get the majority of use because I just love to carry my whole life with me wherever I go. (Who can relate?!)

I love the plaid on plaid! Go bold, I say! The mixed-plaid trend that I see going on this fall fascinates me and I want to try it out. We’ll see if I can be that bold! Ha!
