I LOVE the holidays! And I love adding some extra sparkle and bling to my look to celebrate. Usually I won’t buy a new dress or outfit just for a holiday party. Instead I will take some basic pieces that I already have in my closet and add a little color, texture, or sparkle (or all of the above!).

To start the holiday season with some fun, I met the fabulous Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista for a yummy dumpling lunch and shopping. We dressed up for the holidays and of course made sure to get our pics by the pretty decorations at our go-to mall, Santana Row.
I wore a black and white floral midi skirt, along with a scoop neck fitted black sweater and an oversized black blazer. These three pieces have been in my wardrobe for years and are wonderful basics. To spice up the look, I added my red suede knee high boots. I loved how the color and the texture added so much to the outfit. And then I really took it up a notch with some stunning new Kendra Scott jewelry (c/0), these chandelier earrings and matching necklace! Some fabulous bling, even worn with basics, can give you a festive look.
Of course Cathy looks stunning in all black with a lovely velvet top!
