I’m finishing off my review of J. Jill’s April collection with this pretty lace appliqué sweater and linen stretch pants.
This lovely sweater is a mix of linen, cotton, and modal, and it’s so soft and airy. It’s a tiny bit sheer, but because of the clever placement of the lace appliqué, you can still wear a regular bra. Here I’m wearing the deep blue, but it also comes in a fresh white and the color of the season, blush pink. (Okay I know Pantone says greenery is the color of the year, but I’m seeing blush pink everywhere!)
The pants are linen, rayon, and woven spandex … so comfortable! And they have a flat front so as to not add bulk. I’m wearing the zinc multi stripe, which I love, but the pants come in solid colors as well.
The pants and sweater both run pretty true to size. I’m wearing a misses size 2 and the length is just right for flat sandals, but if I wanted to wear these with heels, I’d go to the tall length (I’m 5’7″). Check the J. Jill fit guidelines for your best fit.

I never liked linen very much! But since I bought a linen shirtdress last year, I changed my mind! It is fabulous and so is your look!
I’m new to linen love too! I like that it’s fashionable now to leave it looking casually rumpled! 😉
This is one of my favorite looks to wear on a hot summer day! The loose pants and a flowy shirt are perfect for Spring and Summer. You look amazing!

Thanks Amy Ann! 🙂
Light and airy for spring and summer! Love this pretty, casual look!
Thanks Mary! 🙂
You cracked me up about the color of the year comment. I agree wholeheartedly. From my experience whatever Pantone says is the color of the year, is never the color of the year. Maybe a year later when the stores and companies have a chance to produce items in those colors. Wasn’t Blush Pantone’s color last year? Except they called it Rose Quartz. But yes, you’re right, blush is everywhere in the stores right now. Next year we will be probably be seeing a lot of green.
Haha …. right? I’m glad someone agrees with me! :D. OXOX
I love your bag Dawn, and you look so lovely I also am obsessed with San Jose..ha! I love that place, My cousins live near there and we visit when we can …I’m in Seattle , maybe next time we can meet up for coffee !
I would love to meet for coffee! Seattle is amazing too! Thanks so much for joining the party, Valerie!! OXOX
Sigh. Your new linen-blend pants and lightweight sweater combo is absolutely PERFECT for transitioning into spring, dearest Dawn…and I’m sooo envious, because here in Vancouver the weather continues to be decidedly wintery. I guess I’ll have to enjoy the season vicariously through my Cali blogger bestie for now!! 😉 P.S. Happy to be back linking up after missing out last week; I was too sick to do anything but sleep, and that’s NOT an experience I want to repeat anytime soon!! XOXO
I love this airy look! Those pants are so cute and look so comfy!

Perfect for spring, casual, yet chic. Nice one! Jacqui
That’s a lovely relaxed look, perfect for Spring! It’s funny you mention greenery because I was thinking earlier that pale pink seems to overtaking it as the colour of the moment…I’m definitely hooked on pink at the moment 🙂
I’m loving the lace detail on your top and it pairs perfectly with your pants! Linen pants are so comfortable, love to wear them during the summer months. Hope you have a great start to the week.
I have very few J. Jill garments but have to say they are the real deal. Fit and materials are fab.
