I don’t know about you, but I can go along time between bathing suit shopping! It’s not my favorite experience and I don’t wear one very often. I think the last time I bought swimwear was for our Hawaii trip … hmmm 8 years ago?! So … anyway, let’s just say I was WAY overdue for a brand new swimsuit! Everlane unveiling their new eco-friendly swim collection was just the motivation I needed to take the plunge (pun intended)!
Shop the Look:
Why I LOVE Everlane Swim
Everlane’s new swim collection is made of high-quality Italian fabric created from recycled plastic! Gorgeous fabric, affordable, and good for the environment? Yes, yes, & yes! Also the simple silhouettes are timeless and flattering, including one pieces, as well as mix and match tops and bottoms.
I love the simple one pieces, but they are just about impossible to fit on me. I always do better with separate sizes for the top and the bottom. I went with the Triangle Bikini Top (size Small) and the High-Rise Hipster Bottom (size Large). I followed the swim collection size chart and the fit is just right on me, so you can be confident in the sizing chart. I would’ve liked to pick more of a tankini style top .. (note to Everlane – please add a tankini!). I do feel pretty modest in this set though since the hipster bottoms have a lot of coverage.
Here’s my exact set on this lovely model …
Another reminder of Everlane’s mission statement (and why I find it such an easy brand to support as I get more environmentally conscious):
“We all leave an impact on the planet, so we should all play a part in cleaning up our footprint. Businesses especially must help lead the way. At Everlane, we are working to do our part by building an ethical supply chain that creates high-quality, low-impact, long-lasting products. We carefully consider our materials and work with our production partners to reduce waste, chemicals, and plastics that endanger our planet’s ecosystems. Our timeless basics are designed to last—so making the right choice by the planet can be as simple as putting on a T-shirt.”

Also in my flat lay: Everlane’s Easy Short (perfect roomy shorts), Kendra Scott statement earrings (add a touch of glam to your poolside look), and Wow Body Butter to get that skin ready to be seen!
On the blog lately, new ways to wear joggers and the return of the bodysuit.
And … let me know in comments what kind of swimwear you like to wear best and what other types of posts you’d like from Fashion Should Be Fun for summer!
